Strawberry Pretzel Salad

This is from allrecipes.com it's sweet and pretty enough to be a dessert!

1 1/2 c. crushed pretzels

4 1/2 T. sugar

3/4 c. butter, melted

1 c. sugar

2 8 oz pkg cream cheese

1 8 oz whipped topping, thawed

1 6 oz pkg strawberry jello

2 c. boiling water

1 (16 oz) pkg frozen strawberries

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix pretzels and 4 1/2 T. sugar and melted butter. Press into bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 10 min or lightly toasted. Set aside to cool completely.

2. In a medium bowl heat sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust. Make sure to spread along the sides of the pan as well to prevent the jello from seeping into the crust. Also spread it as straight and flat as you can so you don't get a lopsided jello on top. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.

3. In medium bowl, stir jello mix and boiling water. Mix in frozen strawberries until thawed. Pour over cream cheese mixture in pan. Refrigerate until completely chilled, at least 1 hour.
